Realtors Ray Rush and Tim Van Camp are both long-term residents of Santa Fe and know its properties,
its culture, and its attractions as well as any agents in the area. They specialize in working with
both buyers and sellers of luxury residential and commercial properties in all sectors of Santa Fe.
Associated with Sotheby's International
Realty®, both partners have strong ties to the community and long-term relationships with local
lenders, appraisers, inspectors, attorneys, local businesses and realtor colleagues.
These relationships enable the two to offer an exceptional level of start-to-finish service for their
clients. A reputation for professionalism and tireless work on behalf of clients has consistently earned
them a significant percentage of transactions in Santa Fe's high-end real estate market, and positions
them to deliver unique value to clients.
Ray Rush
Ray Rush began his real estate career in 1988. Originally from Ohio, Ray and his wife Pat discovered
Santa Fe in 1981 — knowing this place was special and the kind of place they could work in, where
they could raise a family and develop a close network of friends and colleagues. Their son Christopher
was born in 1984. Now a longtime resident, Ray has established a much deserved reputation as one of
the most knowledgeable and experienced brokers in Santa Fe — having served as the past president
of the Santa Fe Realtors Association and being named Realtor of the Year.
The unique blend of Santa Fe's small town, yet sophisticated big city feel attracted Ray and Pat, just
as it has countless others who desire to live in the southwest but don't want to completely leave their
urban attractions behind. Avid golfers, Ray and Pat try to fit in a game whenever possible. They love
many of the outdoor pursuits that Santa Fe's mild four-season climate offers including tennis, skiing
and entertaining with friends and family.
Ray and Tim had known each other for years as colleagues in the Santa Fe real estate scene. But when
they teamed up in 2000, they discovered a synergy that worked and found that their individual strengths
complimented one another. Ray is the high-energy, do-whatever-it-takes kind of broker to satisfy his
client's desires. Tim is “data-driven” and keeps their highly valuable and coveted contacts
up-to-date for the benefit of their practice. Finding buyers and sellers, and matching them methodically,
is his motto.
When Ray talks of Tim, he observes “We're on the same page. Tim has a strong work ethic. He is principled,
realistic and honest and gets along with just about anyone. We definitely compliment each other very well! He
helps me stay in touch with statistical data in our market. I trust him implicitly, and because we are genuine
friends, and we have fun even when times are tough.”
Tim Van Camp
A relocated easterner, Tim fell in love with the west decades ago and has spent time in the Big Sky country of
Montana and moved to Santa Fe in 1978. Active in the Santa Fe real estate community since 1988, Tim is a well
known figure and has often played the role of “father of the stats” — maintaining the critical
data about the churning real estate activity and challenging those who's data may not be “as correct”.
But his love is reserved for his wife Maureen, their two teenage daughters — and very importantly, skiing and
sailing, having earned his Coast Guard Commercial Captain's license.
Ray and Tim's partnership stands as a testament to both the activity and longevity of the Santa Fe real estate community.
Both friends and partners, their relationship is strong and also proactively modern — continually adjusting their
methods, building relationships and contacts, and keeping up with the latest marketing trends to ensure the best service
to their clients.
Tim comments about Ray's approach to real estate, “Ray has a great work ethic, is extremely creative and resourceful.
He is grounded, knowledgeable, unflappable and experienced. I admire his “get it done” approach. He is
tenacious!”
